Fall Essentials - Beauty/Skin Care

Wednesday, 7 October 2015

Finally for my fall essentials posts is beauty and skin care! As the weather gets colder it is important to keep your skin hydrated. My skin has been quite dry and sensitive at the moment so I am picky about what products I use.

Body Moisturisers

I am rather paranoid about getting ill, especially in autumn and winter so I'm always washing my hands and using hand gel. As a result my hands get dry so I use Soap and Glory's Hand Food to keep them moisturised.
I've been getting a lot of dry skin on my body so I use The Body Shop's Mango Body Sorbet on my legs and Soap and Glory's Butter Yourself every where else.

Skin Care

Once a week I use the Simple facial scrub to remove any dead skin and unblock my pores. This leaves my skin feeling very refreshed without making it feel sore and sensitive.
I've just started using the Garnier Softening Toner and so far I love it. It's very gentle on my skin, removes any left over make up and keeps my skin feeling moisturised.
I use the Nivea Cleansing Cream Wash every day. Again it's not harsh on my skin yet cleanses my skin and leaves it feeling clean and refreshed.
When I get the odd annoying spot I put a dab of Tea Tree Oil on it at night and by the morning it's significantly reduced. I love this stuff!
Next is The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. This is thicker than what I used over summer and with regular use it makes any dry skin non existent. I can't wait to try more products in this range!
Finally is the Nivea Pearly Shine Lip Balm. This one of only a few lip products that actually keep my lips moisturised, which is very important all year round but especially when it begins to get colder.

LIEBSTER AWARD

Thank you so much to www.transpirebeauty.com for nominating me for the Liebster Award!

Life hasn't been easy lately but receiving this award has really cheered me up!

Blogger Liebster Awards

My nominations for the liebster award are:

My response to the questions:

When and why did you start blogging? I started blogging in July of this year because I love all things beauty and needed something to occupy myself with!

What is your favourite foundation brand? Clinique

Skin care, Hair, Nails, Make-up – Name one each that you recommend somebody else to try & why. Skincare I would recommend tea tree oil to dab on to annoying spots; I swear they disappear overnight when I do this! Hair I recommend investing in a good hair mask to use once a week, doing this made my damaged hair a lot stronger. Nails I recommend Barry M Speedy nail polishes. I own nearly all of them and they are great as I am so impatient when it comes to waiting for my nails to dry. Make Up I recommend the Milani eye shadows, they are the bomb!

Name one blog you like reading. http://prettylittle-beautyblog.blogspot.co.uk/ literally obessesed!

Do you have a youtube channel, if so what is it. I don't, let me know if you'd like to see any videos!

What is your dream job? To become a full time blogger!!

If you could PR for any company which would it be? I would have to say Milani

What do you blog about? Mainly beauty but also the odd random topic here and there!

Why should people follow and keep up with your blog? I always post honest reviews and try to find budget friendly products. I also change my blog theme depending on the seasons!

Whats the last blog post you read? Link it below! I last read http://blossomandbloomsparkles.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/my-top-10-things-to-do-in-autumn.html I love autumnal posts!

Here’s How To Accept The Award:

  3. Nominate 10 other bloggers with 200 or less followers.
  4. Answer 10 questions for you and create 10 new questions for your nominees.

These are my 10 questions for the nominees!

P.S I think I've done this right, I'm still new to the blogging world and kinda have no idea what I'm doing

Fall Essentials - Fashion

Next in the fall essentials posts is fashion. I've picked some of my must haves and favourites for this season!

Burgundy Jumper and Statement Necklace

As you may know burgundy is one of my favourite colours so a jumper in it is a must have! This particular one is from Boohoo and is super comfy and cosy!

I also have been trying to wear more jewellery and have been loving statement necklaces recently as they bring something extra to an outfit. This one is from Mirina Collections and you can get 20% off  the entire site with the code 'charbeauty'!

Boots

Boots in fall are a must. This pair are from Debenhams and are super comfortable. I've got a lot of wear out of them and they are still going after two years!

Warm Coat

I got this beautiful coat from Miss Selfridges when they were having their student 20% off discount. It is so beautiful and I can't wait for the weather to cool down more so I can actually wear it without over heating!

Trench Coat

I have been wearing this jacket from New Look pretty much every time I've gone out this month. It's quite thin so you won't over heat but also keeps you warm when it's slightly chilly!

Faux Leather Jacket

I got this jacket from Primark for £14 so it was a total bargain! A leather jacket makes any outfit look edgy and is great to just throw on when in a rush.

Tartan Shirt Dress

This is also from Primark and was around £10 I think. I've worn this with leggings, boots and my trench coat and it's a super cosy, fall appropriate outfit!

Thank you for reading :)

Fall Essentials - Make Up

Friday, 2 October 2015

I thought I'd do a series of blog posts called 'fall essentials', which will include make up, skin care and fashion. Let me know what you think of this idea!

Today's post is my autumn make up essentials and the products that I have been using and will use this fall!

Blusher

I've been loving this Make Up Revolution blush palette at the moment as it has such a lovely range of blush colours. My most used are the two on the end; the dusty pink colour and the deeper pink shade, I think these are lovely for fall!

Lip Products

I've already done a blog post on my favourite fall lip products, but I thought I would mention these three. First of all I love a dark berry and red lip in the fall, but I also love a dark nude lip for a more subtle fall look. Left is a Barry M lipliner, all it says is the number 7 so I assume it doesn't have a name. Next to it is Revlon Black Cherry, Cover Girl Sultry Sienna and Milani Romance.

Burgundy Eyeshadow

Burgundy is one of my favourite colours so as soon as autumn arrives I am packing it on to my eye lids! These are the perfect colours for fall and are amazing quality for drugstore! On the left is Milani Bella Bronze and on the right is Maybelline Metallic Pomegranate. I like to use the colour tattoo as a base and then put the Milani shadow on top!

Matte

I like a matte finish on my face pretty much all year round, especially autumn and winter! This face powder is so cheap yet is one of the best products I've tried for keeping my face matte through out the day! It's great for touch ups when needed and is transparent so it doesn't add any unwanted colour to your face.

What are your autumn or fall essentials?
