Current Hair Care Routine For Blonde Hair

Sunday, 16 August 2015
I started going blonde three years ago this summer, and have gradually gone lighter to the colour I am today. I am very lucky that bleaching my hair hasn't ruined or damaged my hair too much. I've only ever had a tiny bit of breakage and my hair still grows a lot.
I am naturally  dark brown but I love being blonde and I don't think I would ever go back to brunette. I wash my hair either once or twice a week and use dry shampoo in between washes. I don't use anything special on my hair, everything I do use will be shown below. I also don't blow dry my hair or use any other heat on it. If I do on the rare occasion I'll use VO5 Heat Protect spray. I also bleach my own roots, after messing up a lot I have finally found what works for me (I can do a separate post on this).

L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss High Shine Conditioner

I use this every time I wash my hair as sometimes my hair can look a bit dull. I've found that this does actually work. Once I've washed my hair it feels silky smooth and more radiant. I also love the packaging! I think this is relatively new so I got it half price which was a total bargain. If your hair just needs that added bit of gloss and shine then this is great.

TRESemme Breakage Defence Restructuring Treatment Masque

This is a deep conditioning treatment for weak hair prone to breakage. I use this every time I wash my hair as well. Since using this I've definitely noticed that my hair looks healthier and is silky soft after washing. This is such a good product if you bleach your hair or it's just generally damaged. Combine this with looking after your hair and using a good shampoo and it's great!

L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 Repairing Shampoo

This is for very damaged and dry hair so again perfect for my bleached hair. Combined with the conditioner above, this has most likely played an equal part in making my hair look and feel healthier. I'd like to try the conditioner and compare it to the TRESemme one, see whether the results are similar. Definitely worth a try if you're on a budget and looking for a repairing shampoo!

Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo

This stuff is amazing!! It's kinda pricey compared to purple shampoos you can get in Superdrug or Boots but it's totally worth it! It removes yellow and brassy tones in my hair when I use it once a week. If you leave this on for longer than 5 minutes it can literally turn your hair silver/purple, so do be careful! A must have for all blondes out there!

Thank you for reading :)

  1. I read that they occasionally sell fudge london hair products in poundland! So may be worth looking out for them in there?! Katy x
